On Martha's Vineyard, we live life close to the shore!  As a Harbor View Hotel & Resort guest, we make it easy for the whole family to explore secluded coves, beaches or adventure cruises on"Stardust", our luxury picnic yacht or explore the surrounding islands aboard "Scout" our center console boat.  Either way do not forget your bathing suit, a bottle of wine, and picnic basket that you may order through our concierge. 

Harbor Hotel Marina
Located down a white shell and sandy path directly in front of the hotel with unique hotel amenities offered to our guests that are docked at our marina.   Our marina offers hotel concierge of the island, charge the restaurant outlet's to your slip or room service on your boat, trash remove, water and electric.   The 8 slips are home to the Resort’s boats and waterfront programs, plus 6 transient slips that are available for overnight dockage.  Our dock is the first pier after the lighthouse with beautiful, untouched views of Chappaquiddick, the Edgartown Lighthouse and Starbuck Neck.

Step aboard Stardust and step back in time to 1960's New England.  Designed and built by famed boat builders, Raymond Bunker and Ralph Ellis, who integrated the strength, stability and seaworthiness of a "Downeast lobster hull", to hand-craft Stardust in 1966.  One of the first "picnic yachts", Stardust is one of a kind.

Stardust is all wood, built with mahogany over stream bent oak framing.  Since taking ownership in June 2007, the HV has restored Stardust to its original condition with many modern enhancements.

A day on this boat is about the freedom to explore and experience all that the Islands and the maritime community has to offer. Take full advantage of the ocean playground from Nantucket to the Aquinnah clay cliffs, plus every secluded beach and hidden cove along the way aboard our 31-foot center console power boat.  

Scout offers all the modern day conveniences to enjoy a day on the water with family and friends, cruising speeds up to 40 mph, swim platform, freshwater rinse shower, a sunbathing deck, plus full set of waterproof jackets and pants. Scout is the perfect boat to spend the day on the water jumping from beach to beach or port to port.

Scout is ideal for charter fishing trips, equipped with live bait wells, rod holders and outriggers for coastal fishing. Our local fishing Captain know where the fish are running. 

Learn to Sail

Martha’s Vineyard is known for its’ predominate southwest breeze and calm waters making Martha’s Vineyard a prime destination for sailing!  The Harbor View Hotel & Resort offers private sailing lessons for our guests.  Our U.S. Sailing certified instructors provide one-on-one and small group instruction that is catered to your ability and experience. 

J 24 Sail Boat,  24' Keelboat

J 24 is a 24' one design sloop rigged keelboat, that is stable, responsive, comfortable and easy to rig and sail.  It provides an ideal teaching platform for instruction at all levels.  Designed as a day sailor and a racer, the J 24 offers speed and performance, giving the student an incredible feel for the boat plus quicker learning curve.

Vanguard club 420, 14' centerboard sail boat

The Club 420 isa 14' sloop rigged, mono hull centerboard planning dinghy, which is the most commonly used boat in junior sailing programs in the US.  Quick to rig and get on the water, the 420 is a fast and responsive boat that uses your body weight, positioning, and sail trim to control, giving you an immediate fee for the boat. 

The 420 is equipped with spinnaker sail and a trapeze for performance instruction/race coaching and is available for charter for the Edgartown Annual Jr. Regatta with a set of new racing sails.
