Their extensive experience creating weddings from intimate and private to the grandest of celebrations is paired with their talent for indentifying the perfect venue. They will guide you through all the decisions to create your once-in-a-lifetime event.

Allison Sells

Island nuptials are a natural for Allison, who, before moving to Martha’s Vineyard and the Harbor View Hotel, planned weddings on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

At Harbor View, Allison has facilitated events as small as six and as large as 180. She is adept at guiding couples through all of the decisions and advance planning that ensure a seamless event, freeing them to relax and enjoy their dream day.

Allison also has an eye for the hidden spots around the Harbor View grounds. “Our gazebo, which is gorgeous, has always been a favorite with wedding photographers. But I might also steer them to a little pergola on the side of the hotel, covered in hydrangeas, that makes a beautiful and less expected setting for a photo op,” she says.

Her favorite moment is right before the bride walks down the aisle. “Her bridesmaids have already gone down the aisle, and for one moment, it’s just the two of us. I feel like her protector.”

A Florida native, Allison holds a degree in communications from the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Megan Honey

Born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard, Megan brings the perspective and access of a lifelong islander to planning weddings at Harbor View.  “Vineyard weddings have been a part of my entire life, and I’m thrilled to have the chance to create once-in-a-lifetime events at a place that’s such an integral part of the history and spirit of the island.”

Megan encourages couples to introduce personal touches from their own lives into their weddings, from memory candles to displays of personal photos. She infuses each event with elements of the island she knows so well, whether it’s a view overlooking the harbor or a photo shoot at the Lighthouse. “Each wedding is as unique as the couple getting married,” says Megan, who adds that, for her, a bonus of the job is “seeing all the ways two distinct families come together” as they prepare for, and celebrate, the big day.

Megan is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where she majored in business marketing and hospitality management.
